By playing Colores, you agree to these terms. They're short because Colores is small: a free daily puzzle, no accounts, no purchases.
Colores is a free daily color-memory puzzle. A new puzzle is issued once per UTC day; everyone who plays that day gets the same one. We may change, pause, or discontinue the game, a mode, or a feature at any time, including without notice — this is a small, independently run project, not a service with an availability guarantee.
There's no sign-up. Your device generates its own random id to attribute daily attempts and results to — see the privacy page for exactly what that means. Because nothing here is tied to a verified identity, we can't guarantee a given device id, its streak, or its history persists forever, or restore it if it's lost (e.g. cleared browser storage, a new device).
Scores are computed and validated server-side from your actual gameplay — the client never gets to assert its own score. Don't attempt to manipulate, automate, or otherwise cheat the scoring, submission, or rate-limiting systems. We may remove leaderboard entries, or block a device from submitting, if we reasonably believe this happened.
The display name you choose for a leaderboard entry is shown publicly. Don't submit a name that's abusive, impersonates someone else, or infringes someone else's rights; we may remove entries that do.
Coloresmay show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the game free. Ads are subject to Google's own terms and, where required, your consent choice — see the cookies page. We don't control what any individual ad contains.
The Coloresname, design, and game logic belong to its operator. You're welcome to share your own results (e.g. a spoiler-free score card) publicly; that doesn't transfer any other rights in the game itself.
Coloresis provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free operation. It's a hobby-scale, self-hosted project — treat it accordingly.
To the extent permitted by law, Colores's operator isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the game.
We may update these terms as the game changes; the date above reflects the last edit. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to Colores's operator, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer-protection law gives you rights these terms can't override.
